Hot chocolate in the warm rain

I had a lovely walk in the rain earlier on. I didn't intend to. I popped to the shops because I needed some bread (I have that one with extra added fibre, because it keeps me regular) and whatnot. I decided to avoid the p***shop and to walk to Sainsbury's, which is a bit of a hike, but the weather didn't look too bad. Having made my procurements (I had to have bread with sunflower seeds and things in it as the high-fibre one was out-of-stock. It might make me do a poo like a sticklebrick with sharp edges, so I'm a bit worried now), I got myself a hot chocolate from Starbucks and set off home - only to be caught in a downpour with only my cardigan for protection. Resigned to being soaked, I walked home, got soaked to the skin but listened to very loud music on my iPod Touch and had a lovely time.

I do like iPods (et al.) because the headphones alone afford one a bit of privacy. They're also good in shops if you turn the music off but keep the headphones in, you can listen in on peoples' converstations and they haven't a clue. The downside, of course, is when you're walking down the street with loud music on and you need to trump, it sometimes comes out really rather loud but you don't realise and people stare at you...

It rains in London? Who'd have thunk it? ;-)

I really do need to get an iPod. I think I want to get one of the bigger ones that do video as well though.

Here's hoping you don't self-mutilate while taking a crap. Next time, try Metamucil.

Oh dear God no - that Metamucil makes me do poo like cakemix.

It does rain in London - but I don't live in London - haven't done for years. Shame. I miss it.

I wondered what had happened to you, you mad tart. Glad to hear you're OK.

Thank you, Gorilla, how kind.

I haven't lived in London for maaaany moons, though I do often go back. I now live in the provinces, but it's quite nice. I'm buggered if I'll tell you where - after all the trouble my last blog got me into...

Understandable. Must have been quite the problem...

It was - never kiss and tell is the moral of the story...or at least be more subtle than I was...

Aunt - I'm glad to be back and though I miss your blog, I'm glad you're still here too!!!

I bet you get stared at quite a lot - iPod or no iPod. And not for any particularly good reasons either.

Funny you should say that. I recently had my earphones in but no music on at that time and was walking past a group of "chav" lads of about 15 and one said to his friend "Look at her tits, she is a mom i'd like to fuck!" and I couldn't resist turning to them and saying "Thanks, but it's a shame you're all too young and too inexperienced to know how to fuck, isn't it?". Their faces were picturesque.
